Spelunky Classic HD » Devlog
Since GameMaker is now free and has a Linux IDE, I decided to update the game (and surprisingly, it wasn’t that hard). Future bug fixes are possible again (but not guaranteed).
New in this release:
- Updated to the latest GameMaker
- Builds for modern OSes
- ARM builds for Linux and Windows
- Improved gamepad support on Linux
- Quick language switching
- A few improvements to the Android build
- A few smaller fixes...
!NB HTML5 and macOS builds are not updated

Tried the Android Release with my Retroid Pocket 5, since the older builds couldn't be installed because of the Android Version. Now it finally installs, but sadly won't start. Is there anything I could help you, so that it could be fixed?
- Which version have you installed? More variants available here: https://github.com/yancharkin/SpelunkyClassicHD/releases/tag/1.2.0 Try yyc build.
- Have you tried the HTML5 version (it was available among the old builds)?
- Is there any kind of error message? If there isn’t one, the only way to get useful info is to connect your device to a computer and run ADB. Can you do that?
The HTML5 build works flawless.
I tried every build on github, none seem to run, always a black screen without error code.
I could connect with ADB, had done this before and could do it if it would help you.
Maybe the GM Runtime or Android SDK used for this build isn’t playing well with your device. Try these builds — you’ll likely encounter some bugs, but there’s a chance they’ll at least launch:

If you’re willing to help fix this issue, please create a new GitHub issue and include info about your device and OS version.

Finally got some time to download and try them, the fix1 worked without problems right after the installation. Crazy. Really great. Should I try fix2? And what for bugs should I look for?
Yes, please do a quick test of fix2. I just need to know if it works at all — further actions depend on it.
